In between 2021 and the middle of 2022, mynameisblueskye was looking to fulfill a specific musical objective: to write songs and instrumentals that felt a lot like stimming. In between the year, he came to the conclusion that his whole entire life, he was and still is a sensory chaser, which means anything that electrifies, soothes, energizes, pleases the senses is his musical objective. While he has written a few songs that might fit, nothing like the instrumentals that he had created in that time (one of which was created years beforehand) really helps to communicate that sound he was looking for.

Some of these songs were originally meant to be openers to an upcoming album or instrumentals to be sold, but were repurposed as their own standalone compositions. From "CHRGR" to "Changeling Season", each instrumental is meant to sound like a positive charge in energy, even when mixed with "heavenly" string and choir pads. Due to this being an entirely instrumental project, mynameisblueskye (otherwise known, preferably to friends and family, as Chris Bynes) takes on the name of blank videotapes, a moniker made strictly for instrumental compositions.
