about

Aarupa Remixes follows Quinton's album out March 20th, Aarupa. While I was writing my last album 'Aarupa' I stumbled through a brief period of indecision, stumped about how to move forward and finish. As a bit of a palette cleanser I decided to work on a remix album of sorts, using samples from the album to create an entirely new work. It was a great palette cleanser, a way to make something more danceable and to recontextualize my work. I'm very proud of the mixes on this record, and I think it conveys the otherworldly club vibes I was aiming for. I'm proud to feature a remix of 'Injustice' by my friend and fellow artist Spartan Jet-Plex, who is an incredible artist and inspiration. Those who listen will find a layered and atmospheric album that is just cerebral enough while never letting you forget to just dance.
